“Gearhart” is just an easy way of shortening “An Apocalypse In Binary: The Memoirs of Gearhart Deckrion”. Yikes. That’s a really long title.

So, yeah. This is the cover for Gearhart. It took us a long time to get right. The album, as a whole, has a very specific tone to it, at least to us, which took a couple passes to capture. At some point, we’ll show you the rejects, maybe.
Here is the track list for Gearhart! Some of these titles are pretty pretentious, and there’s some references here, so see if you can spot them.
- Progress Beckons
- Born Like This, Into This
- Through Still And Storm
- The Bleak Glory, The Grand Symphony
- A Vile Climate
- Horrors Persist
- We Few Who Remain
- Everyone Sleeps Alone
- A Hideous Triumph Of Form And Function
- Within The Stagnant Shadow
- There Will Come Soft Rains
Finally, here’s another thing. Gearhart went through a few stages, as far as an actual narrative goes. We tried to write up a couple of things establishing the story we had in our heads, but they all turned out terrible. Instead, there’s this. Imagine it’s being read in a super old, cheesy sci-fi movie trailer.
Other-worldly sounds, designed for terror! Death! Malice! Bloodshed! A musical experience, unlike any other!
Thousands of years in the future, american soldiers are being conscripted into a secret government project, miles below the earth! Power-mad scientists quest to build the ultimate soldier! Until it all goes wrong!
Their human forms, altered and corrupted beyond recognition! Their limbs replaced with hard, jagged instruments! Their minds replaced by atomic annihilation engines, programmed for one thing: THE GRIM REAPING OF HUMANITY! Murder-addicted androids sweep the four corners of the earth, leaving nothing but rivers of blood in their wake!
They will not be dissuaded by your pleas for benevolence! Their hands will not be stayed by your cries for mercy! Their work is grim, and their payment is in GORE! This is: AN APOCALYPSE IN BINARY: THE MEMOIRS OF GEARHART DECKRION!
Be ready to purchase both this album, and the other one on 3/23/2010! It’s gonna be great!
